Townsend Retirement & Investment Advisors has appointed Anthony Schembri as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, adding more than three decades of wealth management operations experience to its leadership team.

WESTMINSTER, Colo., July 20, 2026, (FINANCE INTERVIEWS) — Townsend Retirement & Investment Advisors has appointed Anthony Schembri, CPA, as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Schembri brings more than 30 years of experience in wealth management, investment operations and financial services. In his new role, he will oversee the firm's operations, technology initiatives, process improvement efforts and strategic growth initiatives.
Before joining Townsend, Schembri served as Senior Vice President and Director of Investment Operations at Clarfeld Citizens Private Wealth, where he led operational transformation projects, including a platform conversion involving more than $1 billion in assets and the onboarding of more than $10 billion in client assets. Earlier in his career, he was Partner and Director of Investment Operations at Clarfeld Financial Advisors.

Schembri is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Villanova University. He has served on the TD Ameritrade Institutional Advisory Board and the Charles Schwab Institutional Operations Advisory Board.
