IMS Group has appointed John M. Caccia as chairman and partner, where he will help lead the firm's investment management strategy and expansion in the U.S. market.

Caccia will be based in the company's New York office and will play an active role in the development of IMS Capital Management, the firm's investment management division. Before joining IMS Group, he spent more than 25 years at Skadden's New York office, where he concluded his tenure on June 30 as senior partner in the firm's Investment Management practice.
In his new role, Caccia will focus on developing co-general partner relationships with fund managers in private equity, private credit and digital assets. He will also help develop investment funds designed to address changes across private capital, public markets and digital assets.
