HOUSTON, March 20, 2026 (FINANCE INTERVIEWS) — Financial services company, Houston Trust Company, a trust company specializing in fiduciary administration and investment management services, has announced the appointment of Peter Rodriguez to its Board of Directors.

Rodriguez currently serves as dean of the Virani Undergraduate School of Business and the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. He is an economist and professor who teaches courses on macroeconomics and economic growth and development.

Rodriguez previously served as a professor, senior associate dean for MBA programs, and chief diversity officer at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He has also been a lecturer at Princeton University and a professor at the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University. Rodriguez currently serves on the boards of the Houston branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Good Reason Houston, and Texas 2036.

Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from Texas A&M University and Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in economics from Princeton University. He also worked as an associate in the Global Energy Group at JP Morgan Chase.
