MetLife Appoints Adrienne O’Neill as Chief Accounting Officer

NEW YORK, July 17, 2025 (FINANCE INTERVIEWS) — Financial services company MetLife, Inc. has appointed Adrienne O’Neill as Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, effective September 2, 2025.
O’Neill will report to John McCallion, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and head of MetLife Investment Management. She will oversee all corporate accounting and reporting functions, as well as financial planning and analysis. Her role includes ensuring the company’s financial disclosures comply with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
O’Neill joins MetLife after an 18-year tenure at Manulife Financial Corporation. During her time there, she held several senior finance roles including Chief Financial Officer for Asia, Global Controller and Group Chief Accounting Officer, and Global Head of Investor Relations.

She will succeed interim Chief Accounting Officer Toby Srihiran Brown, who will continue serving as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Reinsurance.
O’Neill holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Professional Accountant, and in 2023, was named a CPA fellow for her service to the profession and community.
